COURSE REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF 8 REGISTERED STUDENTS
The Biology course provides
a detailed introduction to the methods, concepts, and vocabulary of general biology.
Topics covered include biological classification, cell biology, Mendelian genetics, tour of the five kingdoms of
living things, cellular reproduction and DNA, viruses, and human anatomy/physiology.
Students will gain an appreciation for the amazing diversity of life on earth
and of the tremendous ingenuity of the Creator.
Laboratory sessions include extensive microscope work, dissections,
model work, live invertebrate animal labs, biochemistry labs, and many other kinds of labs.

The biology class is structured
and well managed. Instruction is engaging and inspiring.
Learning is accomplished in a fun way.
Each class consists of one hour of instruction and
one hour of laboratory work/activity.
This class is appropriate for students in grades 7-12.
This is a
31/32 week/semester course which will begin and end according to the VPE Academic Calendar
High School: $70/month for nine months
Middle School: $70/month for nine months
$120 for the year due at registration
