Arts with the Artists - Beginning Art and Mixed Media

 THIS COURSE REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF 3 STUDENTS!

Course Description

“Arts with the Artists”

Pencils up! Swashbuckling brushes! En garde!

Join us for a fun two hours of drawing, sketching, and exploring our Art talents! Maybe you are the next Picasso!

We will learn about American and European artists and travel through time at the High Museum. We will take outdoor tours and explore nature with our sketchpads and pen & ink. Find water colors under a leaf. Listen to music as we become inspired to create something special!

Join us for a fun and creative class!

Course Objectives

This is a full-year art credit course designed to encourage an appreciation of different forms of art in the high school student.

   

 Additional Information
  • Art supplies will be purchased by the teacher from the student Materials Fee at the best possible value. This will include art pencils, erasures, water colors; special sketch pads, paper and pen/ink, paint brushes.
  • Students are responsible on the first day of class for 2 – 3-ring, college-ruled spiral binders, pens/pencils for class.

Tuition*
$75/month for 9 months

Materials Fee*
$100 per semester

Registration
Each student will be expected to pay a $50 non-refundable fee upon registration to hold their place in the class. This fee will then be applied to the required materials fee of $100.

* In addition to course costs, AN ADMINISTRATIVE FEE is due FOR EACH STUDENT on the first day of EACH SEMESTER.  See COSTS PAGE for further information.
